By now, everyone knows about Legoland. Our family has visited every year for the last three years and we will continue to return until our boys stop having a blast there. This post though is not about Legoland, this post is about the Pirate Island Hotel!

This hotel was added on to the lobby and is the newer of the two legoland hotels. Both hotels and the main lobby are about a three minute walk from the entrance of Legoland and Peppa Pig theme parks and, in our opinion, worth every penny.
The hotel rooms are all the same, a bathroom in the center of the room with a king size bed in the main room on one side, and a kid bunk bed room on the other side. The down-side of these rooms is there is no separation between the two. It would be nice if there was a door on the master or the bunk room, but otherwise the room is perfectly setup for kids.
The hotel room itself has a fun scavenger hunt that unlocks a safe with snacks, juice boxes, and lego toy packs. Our boys love this whole experience every time. The safe is refilled every day during cleaning with new lego kits as well! In the bunk area the kids also have more legos and their own TV, complete with kid approved channels like Disney and Nickelodeon.
The bathroom! Has a stepping stool for kids to access the sink and the toilets have a built in smaller toilet seat for toddlers. This was incredibly impressive to us as we have stayed in hundreds of hotels with our kids and this is the only place that has really gone the extra mile with these extra touches. The theme park and lobby also have a kid stall and kid size sink in their bathrooms and we have loved this as every time we have gone we have had newly potty trained toddlers.
The main hotel lobby has a huge castle and legos everywhere, with a bar for the parents overlooking it. However, the main lobby area is absolute chaos! And I mean chaos. Kids and legos everywhere, screaming children, messes (will spare you the details), etc. This is where the main benefit of the Pirate hotel comes in…the pirate hotel has its own lego lobby with bar. Only people staying on this side of the hotel know about this separate lobby area so it is significantly calmer and less busy and we really prefer it. They have the legos that our boys love, a stage, and even a hidden little “jail cell” with more fun. This bar is also less busy for the parents and is just all around a better, calmer experience.
The pirate hotel also has its own pool that is less crowded than the main area pool and it has the best resort restaurant on this side. Again, this pirate restaurant is newer so it has a fun theme and is on the quiet side of the resort. The pirate restaurant is served family style so you cannot access the buffet area like the other restaurant in the main lobby.

With your hotel stay, breakfast is included and again I recommend the pirate side restaurant as they have personalized hot skillet breakfasts you can order and these are delicious. They also serve a huge amount of food in the family style serving dish, filled with eggs, lego shaped waffles, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and potatoes.
Outside of the hotel there is also a fun pirate ship for kids to play on, a mist breathing dragon, and mini golf. If your kids are tired out from the park, there is a lot to do just at the hotel and we appreciate that.
